Purpose: The Fan Fiction Forum is a place for players to post game related self-made stories, writing, and other projects.
Rules:
  • All posts are subject to the Eldritch Conduct Policy.
  • The stories and all content in this forum have a max rating of TV-PG but there is a minor exception. Content up to a TV-MA rating may be linked to in this section as long as an (MA) warning tag is included with the link information, and the reason why the content is mature (i.e. non-graphic nudity, gore).
  • Very lengthy fiction should be linked to, rather than posted directly in the thread, to keep page load times to something reasonable.

Purpose: The Anecdotes Forum is a place for players to post regular social (non-plot) logs.
Rules:
  • All posts are subject to the Eldritch Conduct Policy.
  • The logs in this forum must not exceed a TV-MA rating (intended for mature audiences). This is a close approximation of what we find acceptable. This means we expect there to be some graphic violence or gore, some foul language, and some non-graphic sexual content such as crude jokes or non-descriptive instances of sexual conduct or nudity. We ask that when posting logs to the forum, you give any log with this sort of content an (MA) tag at the end of the log title, so those who do not wish to read such content can avoid clicking the log link, and the reasons why it has this tag in a Rating: section in the log header. For example, a log with graphic gore in it might be titled Friday Night Battle (MA). In the log post itself, in the header info, would be a line with: Rating: MA - graphic gore.
  • Logs should have the following format at the top:

Code:
[b]Characters:[/b]
[b]Date: [/b]
[b]Location:[/b]
[b]Synopsis:[/b]
[b]Rating:[/b]

Characters: <List of characters appearing in the log>
Date: <Date the scene occurs on>
Location:<Place the scene occurs at>
Synopsis: <Brief explanation of the scene>
Rating: <note anything in the log players might want to be warned about, such as language, vulgarity, extreme violence, sexual situations, gore, torture, etc. If this log contains anything that would need an MA tag, put that here too.>

Purpose: The General Discussion Forum is a place where players and staff can discuss, chat about, and debate whatever they feel like within reason. This is for non-game related discussions and if you want to just post silly stuff and converse here, this is the spot.
Rules:
  • All posts are subject to the Eldritch Conduct Policy.
  • The title of the topic should reflect the discussion such as "Angel or Spike, who's the best vamp?" or "Grey's Anatomy Chat" or "Say something nice about the person who posts above you".
  • In all situations, please remain civil. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, getting angry about someone not agreeing with you, or berating or mocking an opinion you don't like or believe in isn't acceptable. Don't expect everyone to see things the same way as you do.
  • Debates or discussions which get out of hand or go off topic may be locked or deleted by staff.

Purpose: The Game Questions Forum is a place where players can ask questions of staff and other players about game mechanics and theme. If you aren't sure of how Eldritch works in any respect, or need clarification on theme issues, please feel free to post here. If you have an opinion about part of the game, rather than a question, please post in the Game Discussion forum.

Rules:
  • All posts are subject to the Eldritch Conduct Policy.
  • Questions need to be about Eldritch's game mechanics, theme, or other subjects related directly to Eldritch MUSH, the wiki, forums, or LJ. These are questions which are directed at staff for the most part, and not directed towards specific players. If you want to contact a player in regards to one of their characters, please use @mail on the game or PMs on the forum.
  • Players are welcome to provide answers to questions, however purposely misleading players by giving wrong or inappropriate answers is not permitted.
  • Expanding on another player's question with related questions is permitted.
  • Hijacking another player's question thread with an unrelated question is not permitted. Please make your own topic.
